Cat Daddy
I'm producing a series of male Demi-Human figures in 54mm scale that are designed with the female gaze in mind. From the concept art to the sculpting, almost every aspect of these figures is designed by women, bringing a diverse perspective to miniatures.
Introducing our latest addition to the miniature hobby: Cat Daddy. This limited-edition miniature of a Half-Orc challenges traditional fantasy tropes of Orcs by representing the gentle sweet side of men. So many people asked me for a mini with a “Dad-bod” type of build and asked me to have him with cute animals. This model represents a large swath of men who may not realize that other people requested not only a model that represented them but that celebrated them.

Let’s go where no man has gone before!
Why do this? Things are pretty cool now, aren’t they?
Great question! Let’s start with a little about me, I’m Shoshie Bauer, an internationally acclaimed award-winning miniature painter and teacher who has pulled together a phenomenal group of women artists.
We’re doing something no one has done before
I had a pretty traditional background.
My BA is in 2-D Studio Art, I was a professional Fine Art Watercolorist for seven years, and I’ve taught and painted minis for over nine years.
Now I’ve created a line of miniatures that are anything but traditional.
Reimagine What’s Possible
The male gaze is everywhere in the arts, from movies to comic books and video games, and more.
And we wonder why fewer girls discover the joys of immersing themselves in entirely different worlds, like D&D or Warhammer!
I created Shoshie’s Minis to invite in a whole new audience who will see themselves, and their perspective reflected my work.
